It does come with a docking charger which doubles as the wireless reciever just like the MX700, so when the battery is empty, or close to empty you can sit it in the charger and it'll recharge. Unlike the MX700 mouse the MX1000 has a built in rechargable battery instead of two rechargable AA's (or w...

Caracol, as far as I can tell, most people find this mouse as good as a corded mouse. The only thing people have noticed is a slight lag when it's waking up - like pulling it out of a screensaver. I'm told it's ever so small, and only happens when you haven't been using the mouse. So it shouldn't a...

@Caracol If your staying corded I think the Logitech MX510 is arguably one of the best. @Da^JuaN I'd have to agree with Tangerine's comments. If your buying your first cordless optical mouse get the MX1000. If you've already got a MX700 its still a cracking mouse, but if you demand more (or its star...

Well, the MX1000 has solved the problem, or at least I now know how to deal with it. The logitech software (Setpoint in this case) just needs shut down before I run AQ2. My brother has the MX700 now and to get Mouse4/5 to work he just shuts down Mouseware I think I might see about writing a little l...

And when I'm playing aq2, the mouse is perfect =) Really Really Weird... B> For a second there I thought this may be an issue with Window...

Balls! :x I swear ebuyer didn't turn up anything when I did a search! Delivery is £4.50 tho, making it £2.50 cheaper and I'd have to wait 7 days. The MX1000 came yesterday, but I was at work and my brother had decided to bugger off somewhere. So I've sent him to collect it today :poke: ps, w...

pixmania is pretty expensive for that mouse at least, it costs here in holland via pixmania 79 euro, while i can get it for € 58,82. Dont know if that goes the same for your country, guess not.. since i think you have done some research i suggest ;) Not as much research as I normally would. But Pix...

The DG834G is supposed to have a true SPI (?) firewall built in. I only know how to open and close ports on it, and I think all incoming ports are closed by default.

I really should read the manual I suppose, but there are certain ports that definately need to be open for me that I've set up.

Well, I ordered the MX1000 yesterday from pixmania . Maybe I'll get lucky and muse4 & 5 will magically start working :? My brother's getting my MX700, I think he needs it as the cheap wireless mouse he bought as a stopgap is really quite sh*te full stop. Do you play AQ2 offline still? No, I copi...

No need, I never thought it would be that simple, but I disabled the WZC service and everything seems fine now. Go figure. Guess I'm just used to Microsoft making every problem super-difficult to solve. I really wanted the additional security of SP2 as after getting broadband my PC had become a coll...

My initial views are: don't unless you feel you absolutely have to!
Some things seems to work so much better, but other's (like wireless networking) have just screwed up something rotten!

Thanks guys, but installing the latest ATi drivers solved it for me :D Strangely my brothers PC refuses to run in Default OpenGL in AQ2 (something about not being able to load ref32_gl.dll?). He's got the exact same card as me (256mb ABit Radeon 9600), same motherboard (ABit NF7-S) etc. His system's...

Anyone solved the SP2 - Wirless - No Internet bug?

I spent last night building my brothers PC, installed XP & SP2, setup the Netgear WG121 USB wireless adaptor like I did before. Nothing but problems! My ASDL internet connection randomly drops on both PC's (through a DG834G Wireless Router & ASDL Modem). My brother's PC's wireless just rando...

:Offtopic: The MX900 got some bad press cos bluetooth is slightly slower than the RF the MX700 uses. Which is why they've gone back to good old RF with the MX1000. I'm also looking at the MX1000, it uses a laser instead of an LED for the movement scanner. Apparently its so accurate it can be used on...
