Hey, don't be mean to newbies :)

Install makes folder to your harddisk like c:\games\quake2\ or something you pointed when you installed the game.

Now download that .zip and put it to that folder I meantioned above. Now just run runaq.bat and it should be working.

It looks like gravity is not normal for zede. Others are jumping around normally.

All I can say is that is weird. Never seen that before.

Then make substitues? Better than having a map looking like a black and red chess board. Sure thing. If you make those. I don't have time currently to update so I'm hoping having some help with it. I did huge amount of basic q2 textures to TGA format back then when I didn't have all this work I cur...

Point of forum is to create some sort of development to aq2install for which I haven't had that much time anymore (like creating more cheesy textures) I'll upd...

That will take quite a while since the d3 engine is not something you master in a few days ;) Basically Doom 3 is very easy engine to mod. Almost everything can be done with Doom 3 scripts like for Action Quake 4 you just need weapon selection and team spawnin code done with SDK Biggest problem is ...

making internally doesn't effect on teamplay. only problem is that info_player_start. to which I didn't find solution. Whole map design should be made so that there is one to N spots where both teams may start
