Problems with full screen mode

hi

i have got a big problem!

my aq2 does not run in the opengl mode anymore! i cant switch to the fullscreen mode an if it isnt played in this mode it laaaags all the time.
so my only option is to play the softwar grafic mode and this sucks hard.
everytime i sitch in the gl mode on fullscreen on aq2 reloads and then nothing happens, its again switch in fullscreen: off

what can i do?

p.s.: that problem appears since yesterday, the days before it worked probably

Try starting up quake2 or remove the config files in your quake2 dir.

and what gfx card do you have?
