hello, i've been trying to make a simple TGA crosshair with photoshop 7, but when i test it in-game it looks like crap (no transparency).
obviously i made the background transparent but it doens't work anyway.

you don't need to make the background transparent, what you need to do is to add an alphachannel... and don't ask me how, because I have no recollection what so ever of how to do that in PS

easiest way to make it is just to save it as .png (make sure your quake2 client supports it) B:

I tried that once
Thought it would be kewl idea but sucked afterall..
The transparent part is crosshair
Box with hole middle of it
then made it bigger and transparent with aprq2
Actually made script wich change's it to normal ch with normal size etc
when unzooming
then found out the idea itself sucked ass...

Simply use the normal crosshair as sniper cross. It's the best, accuracy increases, can't be less disturbing..

I don't use a sniper scope. A little red dot in the middle is all I need.

I myself made that about two years ago i think
atleast seems to be uploaded to cia.figc.net bit over two years ago
Scopes like that i like in other games,
but maybe im just used to use booring cross thingies in aq2

Why use high-res at all? If there was any advantages by playing with high-res dont u thing everybody would be doing so? 800x600 and 1024x768 is all that u need..
