Which they are every single time, unless they know how to play the map better than you or choose to lose badly. Alright, enough offtopic :)

I wouldn't place change in the top3 simply because it has way too high r_speeds (+2k). But maybe I just have way too old pc... and at least linux ppl might have some problems after installing dose since all of its textures are written in uppercase (All maps should have everything in lowercase except the welcome message when you load the map). All aq2 mappers who are still around should read at least these if they already haven't:
http://aqmd.telefragged.com/mmaps.shtm
http://aqmd.telefragged.com/res/mextut.shtml
I mean, if you are going to make a map then go all they way through. And I also recommend that you find one or two hint brush tutorials to read.
I'm not whiny, just informative :)

Already played simplicity in a clanwar today (vs The Ankat and it was a draw on that map, which was cool) and it was very playable. I think I gave it a high ranking as being a panel-member aswell.
I recommend this map for cw's.
The opposite of that is zoo, which is the most beautiful map, but the gameplay simply just add enough. I wouldn't enjoy playing TA on that :P

i had no problems with this. the only upper/lowercase problem i've so far had was with sludge1. the original .bsp is in uppercase :)

No other map qualifies to be in the top 3. :)

Only a few things have recently fascinated me as much as alekchi's map has. It has one of the best-absurd concepts, and the idea behind it can only be mached by NRGizeR's ZOO. It's indisputable winner as far as visual design is concerned.

Nevertheless, my ranking goes like this:
1. Simplicity
2. Dose, ZOO
3. Country 2, Coolbox, Change.

simplicity, clearly the best map :) loved playing it. all the other maps where sucky to play (tested at lan) but nice looking. Oh and coolbox rocked to play on lan

Very nice maps indeed.

Visually Dose and Zoo were the best but it's hard to think about playability this early.

Atm my rating would go like this.

1. Dose, pretty small but very playable map with excellent texture -and brushwork, cheers ringu \o/

2. Change, combination of Pier and urban2 crossed my mind at first, but I've to look forward and play it much more :)

3. Simplicity, visually pretty ordinary map but after 20 mins of 5on5 testing it seems to work well :)

Coolbox is hilarious. The first time I saw it I thought it was a giant joke. Now I'm scared to like it in case it is. Like someone said, it's art. It sort of reminds me of something from Alice in Wonderland. Might not have taken a lot of time, but he might just have made fans of this map from what started out as a random joke.
My reviews will come soon.
