Yes, doom3 would have been nicer with lights everywhere.. sigh.. People who love d3 know what the doom-series is all about, killing every fucking thing you see without thinkin. If its not your thing, play something else. The game has pretty sweet graphics, lots of atmosphere and awesome sound. The story might have been not all that good but overal its better than that uberly overrated hl2.

And you should be watching Enemy Territory: Quake Wars trailer. That shows how freaking nice doom engine is
That trailer has way more massive landscapes than some crappy hl2
