as sajh? wrote earlier... the interest from the admins gets smaller for each playday... So a league which contains as many matches as any other playday will be quite bad in the last days. So its better off with a tournament with the most matches beeing played within the first month and a playoff with less matches for each week...

We need an automated league. People input the result, people accept the result, perhaps a little bit like Clanbase. This would mean the admins would only need to deal with disputes and webpage errors.

Just need someone to code it.

Make the lazy people admins? Yeah, sure sounds like the key to success..

Seriously though, im sure i cant be the only one that have noticed that once the admins of a league goes inactive, the league dies. People need admins to whine at em to play. I would gladely try a league without the need for admins, other than to take care of details, but im quite sure it would fail. Lets face it, most aq2players are lazy bastards, much like myself.

heya, back from holidays (again).

my 2 cents:

i really liked to to the league. in the beginning i put everything in it, even tho i didnt have the time at all. it was really cool to see the clans play their games and to have some excitement here and there.. really gave me something back for my work, some motivation. unfortunately we started this league too late, so everything fucked up in the end. the league turned more and more into a mess... i didnt admin a particular division, but especially div4 and 5 mustve been a pain in the ass (as kama and stanny told me). its not really cool if you have to whine at the clans to play their games.. a league cant work like that. and in the end nearly every division turned into a mess like this. that pissed off the admins, which werent willing to work for people that dont really care for the league.


i think this wouldnt have happened if we wouldnt have..

- started the league that late (-> summer)
- let every clan join in that signed up



as for me, i think i'd like to do something like this again, but only if i have the right people to work with, people that are willing to end something also if it pisses them off (no offence to anyone here, i can understand it). the thing is just that i dont know where i will be next year, and if i am able to do it.. i might be in south america or whatever, and if so, i wont be able to sit in front of a computer and organize a league


i think this league can work, just change the structure a bit, dont let every clan join in, and have the correct time to start it.. thats all. maybe a better homepage would be nice, but its not absolutely neccessary ..


but as many of you said, lets wait for the end of the summer first, thats the best thing we can do atm i think. heyo

hehe indeed mirror... the summer ruins the activity in all of uss... but like sajh said a clanbase would be great =)... so u can add the matches by your self... or so cant u have 5 divisions... lets face it many clans change and stuff like that "i know it"... but there is 20 clans that are really skilled and will "never" put aq2 down... so if u make lets say 3 div insteed... and if it comes a new clan that want to play in the league... then have some require limit that the clan has to be lets say 3 months old or seomthing and they have to qualify into the league vs the others that want to join... or if some clan have left... but i dont think u shall aim at the skillz in the clan... aim for the activity insteed... beacause its the most importent thing... skillz is good 2 but as i said activity... im just to tired so i dunno what the fuck im writting ... cya guys... but put this in your mind...

Rulf. I think you where the most annoyed person to deal with when it comes to the league. You refused to read the rules and understand them.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have witnessed a dramatic increase. We now have 1 player who is willing to play a league without admins. Now we only need 1 more, then we are off:)'

Seriously though(again) any kind of league would be fine, admins or no admins. But i must agree with arild for once, short cups/tournaments are more likely to be successful. NAQL Gangster-thingie-tournament was rather nicely executed.

Anyhow, cups/tournaments for teh win... after the summerinactivity.
