it sounds cool, but i think it will be more 'friends in 1 team' who will pick the players? ok maybe the leader. but who will pick the leader. i dont think its a problem if a country doesnt have much players, like the slovenian team/dutch team/german team/sweden team. i think it will be a problem for finland and norway and denmark since they got the most players.
it would be cool if we could figure how to do that

Nah, but it would be really messy, unless you play it 2xUSA, but then again, a lot of people will complain of not being able to play as they are used to with a ping higher than hundred. It's just too messy.
I wouldn't care to play 1 each, but we all know it won't be played to be fair, and that from both sides.
About choosing a team for the cup, it's every country's responsability to gather a proper team, if they do it with qualifications or tyranicly choosing 'the best team' is up to them. Although, there should be a captain of each country, to organize it and to be in contact with. But how hard is to make a votation in these days.

So, if all the nations will pick their captain, it will work out perfectly. One person of each country can start your own countries' topic about a teamcaptain. Put up a poll with some suggestions, the one with the most votes will be captain.
Note: Captains must agree to their candidature (is this the right word?).
I'll do it for Holland..
Matic for Slovenia?
Any other volunteers?

I just said EURO 2008 because of the football tournament this summer..
