I think a running league brings more history to the scene. Cups and tournaments are all good and fun, but the losers have nothing to work for. When we know you have to try harder next season to play in a better division, people will probably put more effort in. Who wants to put more effort in to make it an extra step in a tourney, only to bow out again with nothing to show.

As I said, we need the nerds to put their heads together and code an automated web-based thing.

This first season of the league was a mess, you say. Not that Quad really noticed anything apart from the usual getting aquainted with the rules (only really the skin thing). The first season will always have its bumps. We need a second and third season to iron things out, and let natural selection move the clans to where they're meant to be.

Clearly clowneh has a point here, as any system or technology or whatever, a league also has its flaws in the beginning. Heck ive spent these last 2 weeks doing nothing but fixing bugs. But now that we have finished the first season of the league, it would be a shame not to continue with it. Now that we have removed the "bugs" in the league (care for example, hehe and all the other clans who made a mess), we should to what every system developer out there is doing, a re-test.

The ones that are still "active" in the league are quite likely to continue another season. First season of a league is quite likely to fail, at least one more season would be needed to determine whether this project is a no-go or not.

I suppose it could be a good idea to gather some new admins though, perhaps 2/division. Either they work side-by-side, or halv the season each or whatever. Even i could get off me lazy arse and spectate a few games, heck ive been an admin for several leagues in the past :P I know from these experiences that i usually, like most admins, lose interest in the endphase of the league. But i could always do some :P.

Perhaps forcing each clan to select 1 player to admin at least 1 game each season.. could be worth a shot, that would be a scenario somewhat close to a admin-free tournament. Head admin, or such could step in only when a dispute arises. I assume most of you consider this to be a sucky idea, but i dont think it has been tried, at least not in the aq2scene(not sure if it has been tested in any scene, hehe).

Asking the contacts of all the remaining clans, to see if there is any interest in continuing the league. No league can survive without any clans:P. Could be a first step at least.

Very well, quite obvious that im at work now, otherwise i would never write a post this long.. oh well, this platform is not going to code itself, back to work(for about 5 mins)

mhh. many of you critisized the system of the league.. i cant see why. the only thing that fucked up the league was inactivity, the rest really worked, even with that totally unfitting website.

that won't work for sure.. there are always unreliable teams out there, i dont wanna know what happens if they have to set up an admin.. and by the way, the league doesnt need so many admins.. i still think match-admins are useless, and if everyone sends his emails, the only thing an admin has to do is to update the page and to help out if there's a problem.
