The best anime to ever see the daylight is without doubt Hunter X Hunter.
Everything is perfect.

As moos said, the Kenshin OAV1 is some of the best anime i've seen to.

Naruto is decent.

Dragonball z is for virgins who are gay. enuff said flunx :(

Has anyone seen Hajime no Ippo? :D
I downloaded all of it, and watched like 60 eps in a row :D
My new favourite anime, maybe because Iam a boxer, and this anime is about, BOXING! :bday:

Hajime no Ippo

George Morikawa's Hajime no Ippo (The First Step) manga published by Kodansha in Shonen Magazine is headed for a TV series anime adaptation in Japan as well as the PlayStation 2 game. Hajime no Ippo focuses on a young boxer, Magunochi Ippo.

Magunochi Ippo is an ordinary high school student in Japan. Since he spends most of his time away from school helping his mother run the family business, he doesn't get to enjoy his younger years like most teenagers. Always a target for bullying at school (the family fishing business grants him a distinct odor), Ippo's life is one of hardship.

One of these after-school bullying sessions turns Ippo's life around for the better, as he is saved by a boxer named Takamura. He decides to follow in Takamura's footsteps and train to become a boxer, giving his life direction and purpose. Ippo's path to perfecting his pugilistic prowess is just beginning ...

augh, i've seen way to much to list what i like, but so far I agree to almost all the currently posted "good" animes with some exceptions..

naruto had something, but lost it due to the exessive use of flashbacks, and slow story development

inuyasha, been trying to finish this forever, but i never seem to get past episode 40.

here is atleast a list of the anime's i've watched through multiple times:

hellsing, berserk, trigun, excel saga, great teacher onizuka, golden boy, azumanga daioh, one piece (yes i know its not finished), ranma ½, hunter x hunter, scryed, flcl (the pillows - little busters, yay!)

uh, and i'm planning to see hajime no ippo again some day

another anime that might be worth checking out is hikaru no go, which, oddly enough, was very interesting even though its 70+ episodes about a boardgame that i still dont understand (go) :P

now i'm off to read one piece book 20 :P

hmmm, I don't understand why people don't like flashbacks.

In Naruto f.eks I think the flashbacks are interesting, getting to see how they had it when they was kids etc

Slow story development <-- That's a good thing..? Boring to watch a anime serie which only got 20-30 episode becouse they don't want slow story development. imo

naruto ain't that slow either :P dragoonball series are slow, both series pwn tho.

imo flashbacks really suck.. and I mean the kind of flashbacks that show something that happened in the previous episodes. Of course they are necessary sometimes but the excessive use of them is really annoying.

Another good anime that I watched recently is Saikano (Saishuuheiki Kanojo, Saishuu Heiki Kanojo, She ~ the ultimate weapon ~). At fist I thought that it was going to be some ordinary high school romance story again but then the bombs start dropping and hundreds of thousands of people die.

In the end of episode 10 there's a text that says:
"A friendly warning from the team; This is the end of happiness in Saikano. If you would prefer the anime to have a happy end, consider stopping here and pretending there are no more episodes. Continuing will only bring misery and pain. You have been warned..."

And I thought the story was pretty sad even before that. So if you like to see some depressing stuff, this might be worth checking. Though it has many flaws (like main characters that are both idiots imo), I can still recommend this especially if you enjoyed series like Neon Genesis Evangelion or Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien.

I know how to play GO, actually, it's a very nice game. The level in Japan is so much higher than anywhere else in the game (I mean, the worst Japananese master players is FAR, FAR above the best player outside of Japan). The series itself is kind of entertaining, but it will indeed not teach you the game.
