...and also. it's not really that "wow" since it builds from the base where doom3 left off.
i just want to know what kind of machine I would need to have for an okey experience.

If you never played any other game than q2 then yes, the requirements are pretty high.. Most games released this year have those requirements.
Oh you really shouldnt buy it, if you dont have a proper dx9 card (yes that means you, you FX5200 users
)

Too goddamn heavy for my comp.
P4 2,4GHz, 512MB, GF4 TI4200.
640x480, low quality -> Running smooth, but any "big" activity in the game (explosion, gas, whatever) makes it sticky.

would guess that that's caused by that ti4200
(:( because I have one of those too...)

IMO it's as good as Q3 was "out of the box". Maplist has alot of old remakes from Q2/Q3. And railgun is still a bad mother, I love it.

Ecks announced last night that he's done with the coding on Q4 filter and that it will be uploaded today. We just have to be patient I guess.

o_O O_o Check again who has copied who. All the weapons have been introduced in previous Quakes, except dark matter gun which is kinda like BFG with dark ammo :p. If you mean by the disk launcher the nailgun, play q1 =(
