i posted it to draw attention to a problem thats killing the aq2 scene.



It never was my intention to make fins look like lamers or whatever.



I never generalized anyone.

I just said that there are alot of people like that.

well.. true, but finnish people should be more open to play vs non finnish clans. AND non finnish clans have to accept at least one map on .fi server and vica versa.

If C&C wants to play a match, we're usually forced to play on two servers. We usually oblige too, without complaints. Sometimes we get to play both maps on our home server tho, it's nice to see clans do this without whining and the rest of it.



Also, a rare good post from Hawaii. Nice one.



I dunno about you guys tho, but I'm getting bored of AQ. EVERY DAY there's a load of hassle and whining and complaining on the servers. I really can't be bothered with it any more. It's sad really... At least on the foreign servers I don't understand when they are complaining

I think it's mainly the other side around. Many clans say "they cheat" because they got beaten by a clan THEY don't know. I guess for a Finnish clan it's easier to accept a lose vs a good Finnish clan like Apr or UNi, because you know they are good anyway...

The problem actually lies in the point that the finnish action scene is that big so that they don't "need" the rest of Europe, the swedish and finnish part is enough. Although, the rest of Europe "needs" the finns, just since there isn't that many clans playing in Europe anymore as of what I've understood, please correct me if I'm wrong. We (I feel kind of hit by this post too as I only play in Finland) see no need in going to other countries to find cws since we can find them here aswell, and play a game with lower ping. I would've liked to play some european clans too, just to see how we do against other clans.



Another problem is that most people from here has a quite twisted picture of europeans. The larger clans are really nice people to play with and against, but the smaller (no offense to the smaller clans, but it's mostly small clans that complain and spam) ones aren't. I guess most clans have played both "lame" clans and "better" clans, but the human mind is most likely to remember the bad things. Which makes us think that playing europeans suck.



Our EAQL game vs OwN was a really nice game, (GG OwN) and all our players liked it even if it was one map each. But the other game we played against some dutch clan (which I can't remember the name of) just two weeks ahead of the EAQL game, was a real pain in the ass. The speaking in our priv channel after that game was sort of:"Man, let's never play dutchies again." or "I said we never should've played them." I think the problem is more likely to be found in who you play, rather than were you play.

some like Finnish clans, some don't.. every clan whines, even the 1337 ones, so that's just bullshit what you're saying Jazzie

When you ask, you tell the opponent about your problem (which is a reasonable one) one time and in a nice manner. This is what the older players usually do, since they have been around for a longer time, and so they know what earns and what doesn't.

When you whine on the other hand, you shout out whatever it is you wish to do in capitals ten times in a row. Whining is more like when you complain about needless things that in the end doesn't really matter. such as "OUR MAP FIRST OMG!!!1" those kind of requests mostly end up in /ignore. If the person here isntead would've said "Could we please play our map first?" And explain why, he probably would have a greater chance of getting his demand through.

My own experience is that the older players use the second form of questioning. They take the game for what it is, a game.

Somehow the atmosphere never gets whiny when we face a clan like united or own. But if we play a less "proffesional" clan (not gonna give any examples) the atmosphere is most likely to get whiny and we'll just get tired and angry. That is my own experience, I can't speak for yours.



NOTICE: I am not claiming that older(aq2 playing time, not age) players behave better than the newer ones. There are well-behaving new palyers and there are bad-behaving old players, but, I hope you get my point.

And i know some .nl clans and .dk clans that really anoy me cuz of their whine and lameness.

But there are also clans, that always behave great and have good and respectfull players.



Some of those clans imo are :own: .c0w. and -UR- for example.



I think most fins know those clans aswell and i see no point in refusing to play them cept for racisme or being scared.
