emperphis, on "-=NFSi.pt=- PORTUGAL Action Quake II" i tried the apr anti-cheat but the server wouldnt let me in and i also tried the r1q2 client but it will only let me run in software mode, dya know how to make it work in open_gl?

hm a bit confuse but.. r1q2 should let u use ncgl or any std gl, try to download one of these clients from http://antiche.at/ with the apropriate GL... any of those 3 should work properlly check ur config for vid_ref if it is equal to the file u have (eg. "gl" for ref_gl.dll)

well i still pimp aq2 in all the message boards i go too

its hard tho, the new games are pretty good...and its hard to get good at aq2 with all the oldschoolers jumping around and mocking you.

I'd be happy to contact jolt again to organise a UK server... when C&C ran Jolt it was one of the most popular servers running. I'd need someone to admin it cause i don't know enough about setting server up etc. Jolt used to (no promises now of course) ping well to most of europe - suppose you could check pings by pinging other game servers.

As far as collecting money for server is concerned I would happily collect through my paypal account and then buy one for a yr off jolt. I'm sure we managed to get one for a year off jolt for about £160. Sure they could do us a deal again if we asked nicely.

I'm sure the communnity is healthy enough to gather £160 from all of you lot - £5 each or summat.

Yea, i can set one up to with my 100/100mbit connection.
Noone ever tried this company as im using, who knows? maybe it will work perfect.

Why not make an offical AQ2world.com server.

I know its not free, but you get people to donate some money. Like 20$ or something like that.

I wouldn't borther paying that for a server. (:
