I don't know what real life protection exists. I wrote Kevlar Boots so everyone would understand. ;) I remember Thigh Pads from UT, and it sounds alot better than Kevlar Boots. Protecting your legs and head instead of chest isn't going to be too powerfull. Just check your stats whenever you're playing, and you'll see that you are hitting chest/kevlar most of the time.

Your time and feedback is appreciated. :)
sajh wrote:Well, due to the mp5 having a larger clip and is more accurate i would say that it is the best weapon of the game
The map is the deciding factor when it comes down to what weapon is the best. MP5 has better spread, thus it has a slight advantage over distance (also because it has no kickback), but in every other place, the M4 is better.
Also, if I let you play with an MP5 having 230 spread instead of 250, you wouldn't notice the difference. :) When you test what you think is your 230 spread MP5 for the first time, don't be so sure it's actually 230 spread. I might lie. ;)

No credit for me?

It's not like I'm getting paid or anything.
Hehe, you should be proud, I called you EXPERIMENTATION, in capital letters! No, of course you're getting thanked. I just like to do it in person ;), I had a chance to test the dual silencer semi akimbo and the m3 flashlight yesterday and must say I'm impressed.

What I like best about it is the quality over it. The compability. ;)
If it doesn't have quality, then it won't be added.

I have updated the first post a bit. If something is deleted it now says "Suggestion removed". Also added the possible leg protection to the Kevlar Helmet.

When will the possibility to (temporarily) unscrew the lasersight or the silencer be added?

I haven't asked Span to do this, 'nor is it in the suggestion list.
I don't want people to have to bind a button just for this purpose. People have always dropped or hidden their Lasersight, and it has always worked. And why would you ever unscrew your Silencer? :)
This is one of those small things that I have thought about, but would only add up to the "too much changes" factor. In short, there are no plans for this.. Sorry. :)

Increase the punch damage so it wont be useless.

and what about a buildin stats program? like the irc thing but instead it uploads something to a website.

Instead of decreasing the Mp5 spread, how about increasing the M4 spread?

But that would make it more of a luck-fest.
I don't think the mp5 needs to have a smaller spray while not moving and just needs to be a tiny bit quicker rate of fire. It's accurate enough anyway.

That would be horrible. I've tried it before in a cw. I just kept shooting at my target and prayed my M4 would hit singlehead. The M4 is fine. Changing it would ruin the gameplay because people love using it the way it works.

IMHO the M4 is overpowered, which is reflected in the gameplay we see. I would very much find a way to balance it rather than change every other weapon.
I agree that 440 might be too much, but... :)

A quick update on our current status.

* Mp5 accuracy reduced to 230.
* Akimbos can be used with silencer, and semi-automatic is now enabled on both guns. (However, you still fire both guns at the same time, but at an increased accuracy. Single pistol is still superior in accuracy, tho.)
* M3 has now got a mounted flashlight. You enable it with the standard 'weapon' cmd. (May be changed at a later stage). [Disabled in darkmatch mode, for obvious reasons]
* Knives now do far more damage in slashing mode. (Equally powerful to AP rounds, perhaps even more at some points)

Those are the main tweaks/features added so far. I haven't had much time on the project lately, so progress has been rather slow these past 2 days. Also, adding a flashlight to the M3 required a lot more work than I imagined. There are still some bugs left that needs fixing, and a more appropriate light source is needed. The current flashlight generate less light than is desired.

I'll try to work some more on it today.

I don't the think m4 is overpowered in it's own right, it is very dominant because of the inherent high movement speed in aq2, allowing players to bridge the distance where an mp5 would be handier almost always before 'action'. Therefor, there is little need for laser except in really slopy maps, like cliff2. In all other circumstances, it is in combination with the vest that is so good. Weakening the vest however, is not an option, since it would hurt other combinations equally much as this one, and that would again be doing m4/kevlar alot of good (as I mentioned earlier, 7.62. NATO rounds penetrate body armor, but hey, read above). Therefor, slightly strengthening other weapons and items is a much better way to bring about a more varied gameplay.

Which light source did you use? The yellowish darkmatch light or the transparent, smaller, light?

I appreciate the compliments :)

Same lightsource as TNG uses then. I'll probably change to different one, if I can find one that's better.
