I dunno which is better/faster/more accurate, so im asking you, which slot do you use your mouse? I myself use it in PS/2 with Adapter i got with the mouse.

And if there's some people who knows better, tell me, i wanna hear :santa:

Generally speaking:

the USB standard allows a data-rate of 125hz.
PS/2 allows up to 200hz.

The decision should be quite clear. Except: If you have a slower PC (p2-350?) then you should rather go for USB, since it provides a more stable data-rate.

Another issue:
With some nice hacks, you can drive the USB up to 500hz. The decision is quite clear again.. go for USB then. :) It's really worth it. If you want to know more about 500hz USB, let my paypal account know it.. :)) hehe

btw: I voted for USB.

From what I've seen about hacking it to 500, it works on '98 and XP as well. Can't remember the url or the guy who brought it up right now but I'll post it as soon as I do. I heard it could fuck the usb devices apart from your mouse though...

who the heck voted for ps2? Does it have any good things going on about it except from that it's easier to understand which hole to plug it into since it's green?

I voted PS2. It's a free port designed only for mice, and it always works. With PS2, there is no chance of IRQ confilcts if you are using loads of USB devices - printer, webcam, iPod. Also, my USB ports sometimes have problems initialising, not to mention I didn't find it as smooth.

I have no problems plugging things into USB ports. I just didn't like the feel of it.

Ofcorse not. :P
Alot of people use USB instead of PS2 just because they think USB is better, while it's actually PS2 that's the best to use. The poll supports this statement. :P

USB was capped at 125hz for a reason. When you use PS2, more CPU is used. If you hack your USB port to allow up to 500hz, more CPU will be used.
