Need Some Help!

What's the problem?

Computer:

Os: Windows xp Pro
Memory: 768sdram
Cpu: 1.2ghz AMD Thunderbird
GraphicC: Club 3d 9600 Pro (Radeon)

Problem:
No matter what .avi exporter (.dm2 -> unpacked .avi) I've used, the problem still remains.

Example: Using fraps with 'full size' and '30 fps' export settings I'm not able to get that 30 fps for my .avi with any resolution.
1024*768 = ~5-7 fps.
640*480 = ~10 fps.
320*240 = ~25 fps.

I just wonder what could be the reason for that?
Masa^ told me to try different drivers for my graphic card, didn't work.
He also told me to try with smaller resolutions (since 640*480 is 'default')
Results you may see above.

Anyone? huhuu? :)

Dont use fraps, thats all.
Fraps (never used it, but think so) is trying to write video on the fly creating an immense data flood (uncomressed video), which even very fast systems can not handle (standard hard drives arent so fast). You see it on the framerates of ur avis in different resolutions - the higher the resolution, the bigger the data amount, the less fps.

What you would recommend then?

I've tried Aprquake and fraps (same result), beefquake didn't work with me :/

Here it is: http://members.inode.at/t.scharowa/Quake2Capture.rar
It's quite nice cause u can capture several demos at once without writing any commands.
Have also written a how 2 use readme (:

what`s your hardrive speed?..... you need a minimun 7200rpm hd to get decent fps using fraps, also try to capture only 25fps, you don`t need 30

also you need more cpu...... when you capture with fraps you use lots of cpu and hd so that`s why.

I have no problem capturing with FRAPS. The framerates you're getting seem horribly out of proportion with your system specs. I recommend running Burn-in and see what kind of results you get, than compare that to people with a similar system. I think you also need to make sure that your bios is up to date, and that all hardware is correctly setup there.

Well just leave fraps alone and use only aviexport in aprq2?
