hmm I get following when trying to connect to quakenet:* Connecting to irc.quakenet.org (6667)
(01:24:20) * Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort)
(01:24:35) * Connect cancelled

I just got a new computer with service pack2, maybe this has something to do with it. allthough the windows firewall allows irc.

anyone plz?

u tried switch off firewall ?

as far as i know sp2 refuses access to internet to many applications

I think you are right.
I've removed sp2 in a hour or so after I installed it.
