Ok folks. I got something really strange for you now;)

Everything started a day when I entered a server. Everything was normal, but suddenly it started to lagg the sh*t out of me, but my ping was still normal.

After a ½ minute everything freezes. And the little ICON is showing up to right. And I'm overflowing, But my aq2 works fine. When i reconnect, i'm comming to the server again, and ½minute later the same shit again.

This is what I've done: Format Windows, Tried AQ2INSTALL, Axion, Orginal installed quake2 + aq2mods. And I've tried the clients: Aprquake,nocheat, Q2ACE, But still the same lagg.

I've tried to play CS too (don't laugh) but that works fine, no lagg after ½ minute.

No spywares, or viruses. I've tried to take all possible tasks off from taskmanager, Copied Q2 to other hardrives. And checked with my connection cable. tried to change it.

And then i didnt touch aq2 for a month. But now its back again.!!!

Yea and thats not all, I got Flooded by 62 msn popups 1 sec ago.

reinstall network drivers. dont let windows use its own. install original drivers

How are you connecting to the internet?
Are you sure that your internet connection isn't playing up?
Is this on all servers?
What processes are you running while playing Quake 2?
Do you have latest video drivers, latest motherboard bios, latest chipset drivers, latest patches?

- I'm Going to plugin a new network card. and install it. < own drivers >

- Got 2mb/512kb Connection no problem with that. Netikka is very stabile.

- Yes, all aq2 servers lagg, but not in Counter Strike.

- Got Windows Drivers to everything without to gfx-card.

I dont have any weird tasks that I know are unknown.

Try a different config, del everything and run quake from scratch. Also the config in quake2\baseq2 (or something). Every single autoexec.cfg and config.cfg. I have solved many problems this way.

But remember to make backups

long time ago the ppl where i lived had the same problem kinda. we had to turn down our rates and fps etc lots of stuff to make it work "ok" turned out to that the isp had fucked something up. wierd thing it was only in aq2 to..
