im an owner of an ATI Radeon 9600.. SE.. .. well everyone with this graphic card that installed the new drivers had this problemo..
The fps dives.. even if we do as i do.. put hertzlock on, turning of vertycal sync, in quake2 to, it wont work.. now i reinstalled my drivers to my orginal ones.. the one ive recieved with my graphiccard when i bought it, but ive stil got the problem.. do someone knows howto fix it? would b good for that 1 to tell me how to fix it with the new drivers to because theres stil many having the new drivers .. and without the new drivers, u cant play nfsu2 ..

New ati drivers has this problem. Problem is solved by getting one .dll from older drivers and placing it to q2 folder. I don't remember what it is I can't remember where to get. Also 4.12 drivers fixed some slowdown problems in q2.

I hope someone who remembers this stuff posts here.

I renamed the ref_ncgl.dll 2 ref_gl.dll and deleted the older 1.
Installed the new drivers with the DNA drivers and tada good workin AQ2
