Finally a bug

I'm sure someone beat me to it, but I'll say it anyway:
I don't really use the Handcannon as much as it deserves, cause it's a magnificent weapon ;p I used it for a couple of rounds on teamdepo and I found that if you switch to Single barreled, fire off only one shot, reload and then check your shells.. maybe you can guess what happens?
Yep, now there's two shells in your hc and two was taken from your stack of shells. Thus one (1) shell has evaporated.. If this is not the case, then ol'chucky decided he wanted to dismiss one of his shells, throw it in the river or whatever.
Faithful hc users prolly have noticed this a long time ago, but I've waited for so long, now I can finally say I've found a bug in AQ2!

well, it's done just like in every other weapon. the only difference is, that hc has shells like m3, and should be dealt like that. they(tng pll) must've not noticed that when they implemented single barrel :) so use both shells and then reload ;D

Single barrel is a silly invention anyway, and is if I'm not totally mistaken removable in the TNG thingie.

it can be disabled, yes. but what's the reason? i mean, the real thing shoots a barrel at a time, because it has two triggers.

Think how it's in real life, when you shoot with a shot-gun and reload, then when you pull down the barrels the two shells automaticly pops out. So I'd say that this is the case here also, the guy just doesn't remeber to pick up the full shell after it has popped out

The only thing I don't understand is: Why use single-barreled handcannon when you're only going to fire one shot? The privilige of using a single-barreled hc is that you can fire two shots after eachother and not having to reload...

Because

If you move around with stealth slippers and you don't want anyone to hear you, then my guess is that you won't waste a shot into the air just for fun..
MadWolf, it's Action Quake 2 though, the shell should fly straight into your pocket

Think about it, you want to reload so you can use a double barreled gun for your next shot.. without throwing away one shell!

So why not fire the first shot with two shells, so you can kill the enemy right away? You won't have to injure him with 1 shell first..

u take single shot because reload takes a lot of time and maybe there are 2 enemies so u need both shots or u kill one and the other one kills u. Now theres only one enemy and u need only one shot. So u have time to reload for the others or missed maybe.

It's not a bug, but a concious design feature. :)
And groover, you can't predict that you will only meet one enemy when you're going double barreled, and two enemies when you're going single barreled. Sometimes you'll be lucky and take benefit of using the handcannon singlebarreled, and sometimes you won't. Enemies come and go as they see fit.

I know that, that's why I can't understand why you would reload after 1 shot..
If you see two enemies, you use single-barreled so you can shoot 1 shell at the first one, and then the other shell for the other one. Logical stuff..
