new (fun?) program - DemoPlotter 1.1

This is something I've been working on for the last couple of weeks, it's a program that will take one or many demos and draw the player movements or whereabouts on a rendering of the map in question (it can also just render the map, or just draw the demos on a transparent background) It hasn't been that extensively tested yet, so I'm bound to have included some bugs in this version, but hopefully I'll be able to fix those as they emerge.

UPDATE! I've just uploaded version 1.1 (and updated the manual as well), with some extra features, and a few bug fixes...

you can get it from here: http://www.abo.fi/~cbjorkel/apps/DemoPlotter.zip and I do recommend reading the manual at http://www.abo.fi/~cbjorkel/apps/demoplotter.html.

if you find bugs, please post them here or send me a mail.

NRG is a gift unto and by itself. From whom, not clear, but to whom, well go figure.

How long does it actually take to make such a file?

depends on your computer, the map, the options, and the number and size of demos..

on my Athlon 2700+ it takes about 10-15 seconds to render a map with one demo...

if it takes REALLY long, the program might have crashed. To make sure that it has/hasn't you can start the program from the command prompt (cmd.exe or command.com) with "java -jar DemoPlotter.jar" in the directory where you extracted it... all crashes and other errors will then be printed in that window when/if they occur...

hmm, it still is kinda weird, it gets stuck at rendering demos...

Yesterday i kept it on for like 20 mins, but nothing happened :? (my comp specs are right, got a 2800+).

The doubleclick doesnt work, cuz it'll be opened by winrar then and if i select other programs to open it with: java.exe doenst do anything it seems, javaws.exe cant start it, and javaw.exe can start it, but gets stuck...

(using cmd.exe didnt work too well either, but it could be i did something wrong there)

Hope some1 can help me out!

Still, this is a program very fresh out of the oven, and I would be very surprised if there were no bugs/problems with it... also different maps and demos (recorded on different clients too) could give some unforseen input to DemoPlotter, causing it to crash...
