Q&A Thread

Post by mirror »

Post your comments concerning the league here please!

****

Q1: which quake2 clients are allowed for league?

Well I guess all clients are allowed, as long as they don't offer any cheats or advantages. Aprquake, for example, is allowed.

Q2: Wavescripts will be banned?

Wavescripts are in fact annoying, but I don't think that it's the admin's job to control that. Everyone using a wavescript should put it off by himself anyway..

Q3: My clan, #silence.aq2, does NOT have a website atm, since none of us has a clue on how to create one - but we're meeting all the other requirements. Can we still enter?

Well there are special cases, like yours, where there's a clan that is up for quite a while but still has no website. Of course the missing website will, in those cases, not be a reason to exclude a clan completely. Still it would be better if you put up a page. :)

Wavescripts will be banned?
I mean, spam of waves at a very oftenly used key (+move*).

Mirror told me he can't be arsed to control that. Since there are no ingame admins and it will be a big deal to manage thru demos. I don't think so.

read under "c. cheating"

2. Since theres no efficient anti-cheat program available, we can’t require any. NoCheat, for example, got hacked months ago.

read under "f. sign up" aka.

5. Only trustable clans will be able to join this league. You have to present a decent website and some clanwar results. Clans that seem to break up within a week again won’t be taken in. A minimum of five players is required.

you seems to be missing like all there? ;)

My clan, #silence.aq2, does NOT have a website atm, since none of us has a clue on how to create one - but we're meeting all the other requirements.
Can we still enter? If not - would someone bother to make us one? :D
Thanks.

It's better to be safe than sorry, right?

Also, regarding the so-called one week clans. Why not make a division just for them? Perhaps we might come across one of these clans that WE see will die, but want to prove that they are here to stay. Maybe.
I don't give a shit.

if the problem is a website, just load up note/word-pad, type some stuff about ur clan, save as html, upload to ur webspace.

Clown: I guess you're referring to whether we'd stay up with your safe/sorry issue.

We've been in the same clan for 1½ year now, with various changes (put ac down to go each to ours, RAW, UR, OwN and pS, and later the RAW's joined pS. Dunno if I managed to illustrate that we've been together for a long time and that we're lasting, but that's what I intented to.

den: I dont think any of us has got that fancy webspace-thingie, so we need an, erh is it domain?, to even upload one of them new notepad documents. I have no clue on how you get one of them domains :D
