Which drivers should I use with my GeForce 4 mx440?
I already tried the last ones and the 66.93. Both worked, but with an aq2 at 0.1fps (1 frame every ~10 seconds).
I had the 44.xx and they didn't work. But I need to try them again.
I also tested the omegadrivers, but they made my computer crash several times.
The card is at a MSI MS-5169 mother board. And my CPU is a AMD K6-400mhz. My last computer burned and I got this old piece from a friend.
By the way, I still need to update the mother board, but my floppy disk -needed by the flashing- is attached to the older box, which is not reachable at the moment.
Thank you - to the ones that help me.
"Ok" - to the rest.

and wich should i use for my ATI Radeon 9600SE ? its so irretaiting when it switching from 40-300 al the time, i think.. the time when u feel the different with jumping is FPS 60,85 and 120.. so its really hard to jump when the FPS switches al from 40 to 200 :/, someone knows an driver to this graphic card wich is stabile, works fine, clean fps ?

In fact I use WinXP sp2. And my mobo has the "ULi/ALi M1541 ALADDiN 5" chipset, and for them I already installed "aliagp172.exe", but I fear they did shit - meaning, nothing changed.
I installed the latest and it didn't work (yeh, saw the first post and I said "last" instead of "latest", my mistake).
I think I will forget AQ2 until I get a new PC. Thanks to you all.
Now you can usurp my thread, wilco.

Well, openGL didn't work.
Today I configured aprq2 sw mode and it runs... er... well, it just runs.
At the moment I have in my config:
sw_mipcap 3
sw_waterwarp 0
Any other command I should set to enhance software mode? I'm sure someone around there must know a bit about this. I'm getting 18-28 fps.
Thanks in advance.

Exactly, and check the fullscreen stuff too. Some cards won't support some resolutions at fullscreen and will pop your quake to software mode.
Oh right.... WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU SUDS!?
Caro.

Pfft, the latest GeForce ForceWare drivers are designed for newest cards, no sense to use them with a older one.
www.guru3d.com
Check the drivers from there and download the - most downloaded - WHQL DETONATOR drivers available. They should work like a charm.
edit:
Detonator 45.23 Win 2000/XP - WHQL
http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=653
If you still want to try ForceWare drivers (ok, I'm using FW with my old GF ti4800SE, cause they happen to work quite fine), grab:
Forceware 76.45 Win2000/XP WHQL
http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1062[/b]
And btw, check 76.45's supported cards list. I think most of the FW drivers work well only with these cards too.
