Refreshments in aq2

I see alot of topics about ppl wanting to change aq2 as it is. And i fully understand that. I allso sometimes get tired of the game. And then i thought to myself: What about a new type of cw? Lets take CS as an example. They got hostage resue and bomb spots n shit.. They dont even bother to play a normal 4on4 cw where u just gotta kill your opponent. So what about some new cw feture? Defending a part of a map, maybe some kinda survivor type clanwar, or team1 has to reach a certain point of the map without team2 killing them? And then all the map mapmakers could make new maps for the new type of game?
I know CTF isnt that popular, but in what game is CTF popular anyways? :) Tell me what u think....

ahhh and you forgot capture the briefcase :D

was popular in austria 3-4 years ago! ;)
was really funny and more interessting as ctf :]

but still aq2 is aq2 and cs is cs.
maybe its time for ppl to move on and start playing some other game or just quit playing cause we are not 14 anymore, atleast the biologic clock is ringing for me 8)

About refreshments.. I saw the Topic AQ2 "new generation". And I wonder.. Is the Textures been published yet?

This sounds like a good idea to me, since im one of those too who sometimes find this game pretty boring, after playing countless of cw's, u kinda wont see anything new... atleast not that often..

hmm. i don't think that that would work in aq2. think about 4 x m4 camping somewhere hidden and the other four trying to stay alive to get to the point B or whatever ;D and with legdamage it's so easy to stop someone. some nice large and balanced map would be a very good for ctf matches. public ctf = fraghunt, so it's not that fun.

afaik, tribes' are somewhat popular and is it about something else than ctf? :p

Anyway, I suggested pickup CTF, same system as it's now (#pickup.aq2 for dummies). But Haui said there was not enough interest for it. Probably because pickup isn't very active last months, but I think CTF is something different.
Maybe you should show him some interest or something if you want something different like CTF.


Oh, and I like TDM, which Haui is working on. :D

heh... in all games that has the mod except for aq2 i would say.

At least in aq2 you got different spawns. As far as I know in cs they got only one spawn. "hmm, im a terrorist and i've played this map for 5 years, I wonder where the strike team comes and defuses my precious C4" omg :shock:

a mod like rocket arena (q3) would be nice:)

ctb was a nice mod too...
