There used to be a dutch deathmatch server where u would spawn wearing all weapons but no items.
This was really fast and fun playingstyle and the server was always full.
Toobad the host went down, and with it this playingstyle..

Cant we configure some server to run action DM again?

I love deathmatch style, but so far for action quake 2, this mode hasn't been highly appreciated. I don't know why. But to make deathmatch mode more attractive there could be several configs made for the servers - like the one Dani suggested.

Also... I would love to see the 1on1 enviroment change. I want configs and changes here too. With no rounds. Just spawning up and having all weapons on you from the time you spawn.

I think Action Quake 2 has more to give than only the standard teamplay setup.

Idd.. there is more stuff for aq2 that should be used

Yea, as fuct said. Haui has SSG DM server running for quite some time now.
It's like any other DM though you already have a sniper when you spawn and of course you don't have any other weapons in the map.

I ran that kind of server before we stopped paying for it. You might have thought it was Dutch because there were mega-low pings there

I play DM in the US on occation. Bloody Waters server -> [BW] Action Quake2 DM @ 216.129.136.82:27910. Could be more fun with less ping I guess but I'm just fooling around anyway.

Plus.. its not action DM.. its just Action Quake in DM mode..

Action DM is where u spawn with all guns.

Original DM is pistol + knife on spawn and you have to find your weapons and items.

What's running on most 'DM' servers nowadays has all weaps/items directly. Tends to be SSG/M4 only... tbh you might as well play TP. Only good part is you spawn directly.

hmm what happened to reach for the sky tournament. A 1on1 tournament that never launched? I think AQ2 need all-weapon-at-once feature and no round based games to make 1on1 enjoyable and interesting. at this moment, 1on1 is to linear, predictable and way too slow.
