adsl connection parameters tip

hello all
i've just take adsl and i got a shitty 150 ping in all servers all over europe. i guess i have to set connection parameters propely (i hope
)
anyone can help the last italian player?

Well, open winxp cmd start>run>cmd and then type tracert dacentral.de for example and you`ll see where your ping rises. You can also copy&paste here so we can see too :>

do the tracert thing for many different servers, and atleast check your q2's rate, should be 25k.

now i ping 90 in da main, not so bad for my 640 adsl connection i think. things going worst at peliprotti's, where i ping 140/150

yesterday i saw there a player pinging 7/8... ARRRRGGGG DAMN PING CHEATERSSS!!!!!

i think that aint so bad, or lets say.. quite normal from Italy. I mean.. players from portugal with 2 mbit connections ping 70-90 to DA Main and also 120+ to finland.

Try our (NARF's) server: kloster.dbb.at:27911
It's located in Austria, maybe you get a better ping... but gathering players there is not that easy... maybe you want to contact us in #NARF at QuakeNet, so we can arrange some Action sessions in that server, cheers!
