I need a decent main character(s) to feel 100% good about a game...

so I would say.. hmm

Simon the Sorcerer
Half-Life series
Far Cry

...and more. Who isn't a fan of old games? I just love point and click adventure games..remember the Dig? I loved it. :)

So no top 5 list for me...

The Dig was shit compared to games like mi, gf, samnmax, dott, indy, ft :)

FC was great until the monsters came.. ruined the game for me :(

Neway, my fav games at this moment would probably be:

Single Player:
Metal Gear Solid series - Can you think of a cooler character than Snake? + excellent movie scenes.
MDK - Fuckin' brilliant game.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory - Actually all Splinter Cell games are cool, but this one has a knife and co-op.
Beyond Good & Evil - Great adventure game with a great story and a+ design.
Mafia! - GTA with real gangsters.
Deus Ex - Thrilling sci-fi game.
No One Lives Forever - Female James Bond ala Austin Powers.
Outcast - Massive game.
Shogo - !!!
Homeworld series - Space game with GREAT design.
Neverwinter Nights - Kept me hooked for hours.

Oh i could keep going for days.

And yes ofc we cant miss the LucasArts adventure series + LBA + Blade Runner etc ;)

Multiplayer:
Battlefield2
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory - co-op :D
Bomberman
Tribes Vengance
Any racing game

Heh, by reading back on all the games you posted in here it's actually impossible to make a top 5 of all-time-games. So many cool games are mentioned by you guys that I'm like: "damnnn... I forgot about that one!" ><

Every game has it's own 'popular' period it seems.

Just like den mentioned a game like Outcast was GREAT! Or even the Jagged Alliance series! Spent many hours playing those games. Of course many more are like that and that just makes me tingle and want me to give them a try again after reading it.. great stuff :)
