new version of aprq2, especially for movie makers

aprq2 1.18 released. movie makers should notice these new features:
  • - added cl_chathudtime cvar to control how long chathud msg's stays in screen
  • - custom resolutions: use r_customheight and r_customwidht to set width/height with gl_mode -1 (works gl/sw in linux and win)
  • - aviexport have now sound support, use avi_sound cvar. default enabled and if it set to 2, it try to use mp3 decoder.
  • - aviexport video is uncompressed by default, if you want to use codec use avi_codec cvar. Use fourCC to specify the codec (ec 'xvid')
  • - new command avirecord, now you dont have to export whole demo, you can start exportin at any time in demo playback. It names the avi's to demoxx.avi
  • - new command avistop to stop avi exporting
  • - new shell effect in gl mode, type gl_shelleffect 1 to enable (this is the effect for quad damage, invu, etc
  • - shell effect also aply to guns

i dont like that in the new version when execing a file without extension it automatically adds a ".cfg" :( However the other features are really cool... couldnt you embed the same blood as beefquake does? Than apr was teh uberclient :)

Looks like it has a bug. Or its just me.
I have voice binded at "L" button. Every time when I exec my cfg. it uses this voice.then Looks like it uses button "L" every time I exec my cfg.

BeefQuake? Where can I download it?

Now why would you want to get beefquake? AprQ2 has it all... and more :)

Maniac: do you have some sort of list/documentation over the new cvars/commands? Can't seem to find any in the .zip files, and there are a few commands that I'm wondering about what they do.. :)

uummm... nope.... the .zip doesn't contain that... oh wait... I use the src package (since I compile this myself for linux) I bet if I try the bin package I'll find it :) ----> downloading... (might be a good idea to put that into the src package as well Maniac :mrgreen:)

Ye, there isnt readme in source package, should add that tough.

bugreport..

when i avirecord two clips in a row (means avirecord 1.dm2...... finish - avirecord 2.dm2) about the first half of the demo does not record sound. weird.
