Hey all, I just bought a new computer and I want to transfer my old HS to my new one. This isnt that hard, isnt it that my new computer uses a new HD type. I'd like it if I can put my old HD in my new computer, but I don't know if this is possible. For the Dutch people, here is a link to my new computer: http://www.dynabyte.nl/hardware.php?i=19831. Does someone know if this will work together?

Thanks in advance, Janner

All (as far as I know) new computers still support IDE for the simple reason that for example DVDs and CD-RWs etc still use it. SATA is faster, yes, but it costs alot of money to change all you're hds to SATA :)

oh, and even if you don't get a mobo that supports ide, you could always get a PCI IDE controller card, which at least when I bought mine (I have more hds/optical drives than my mobo can handle) will cost you about 20-30 euros, so it's not that big an investment :)
