i have a gf4 mx440 64mb, and i was wondering if its possible turn my aq2 in 16b, like voodoo (3dfx)

i dont have too much fps, with 16b i think that could be better, right?

arent the original aq2 textures 8-bit? either that or 16-bit.. but definitely not 32-bit (hence the retexturing efforts). so if you stick with the original textures that should be the lower quality you're seeking.

but i have a geforce4 MX440 64mb as well, and aq2 runs with ~60fps for me - quite smoothe. if you're having problems the bottleneck may be the CPU. mine's a 800mhz P3..

If you download porn, and get a million viruses then a GeForce4 MX440 64MB cant take AQ2 @ 60PFS quite smoothe. But else, Yes

set it to 0. in that way you will turn off the v_sync, you will gain fps :D

Just put vertical syncronization "always off" in your vid card settings. I don't know what it is, but it worked for me ;p

he has a p3 1.1 ghz.
with a celeron 600 and a 3dfx i made 1024 fps
beavis rules
so turn off that shitty sync useing gl_swapinterval 0 and you will gain LOT of fps. then you could also sett off extswapinterval to gain more fps...

actualy, with vsync off and cl_maxfps on 120, my fps keeps on 110 +-

but i want stability, some years ago when a used maxfps 120, my fps went in 120 always, and now, they change too much along the map

thats my problem, my fps dont keep the same in all places of the map
