For those of you who don't know, this is the standalone client for AQ2 - I have since updated the original axion client to include more maps, new sounds, and even better texturing.

definitely not, it's not like you made the game ja3k1z, and technicaly i belive it's not really legal to refer to it as a free game, and even if it would be, the name of the game is Action Quake, and not Axion Quake, Axion is just your own setup of the game.

Well, I'm using most of your textures from the previous version and from the looks of these screenshots nothing much has changed. Except tj textures seem like the ones from the portuguese guy, WnT or something.
So, could you tell me what's new from the previous version or does the zip contain a readme?

Hmm, I don't like the textures.
Most of them have no resemblance to the originals which may make other maps which use the same textures look like shit. Also I don't like it when the maps are altered so that they don't look like the mapper intended.
Other than that, keep it up.

Hey guys the textures were made to resemble the originals, and enhance ones that did not look proper. I have spent the most ammount of time for AQ2 retexturing, and most other AQ2 32bit packs are using most of my textures. City for example you can't complain! The rest I had gathered from the Q2 re-tex project, and some other artists. I am always looking to improve, but time is hard to come by these days. If you guys would be interested in helping you know where to find me...
From previous versions of Axion the texture changes were minor. TJ and DC you can see the most. Theres more maps, Tequila and beer for instance (but beer is still in the works.) The sound pack I also did a lot of work with, and gathered the most high quality sounds + enhanced them to sound correct in AQ. Other minor changes have been made over time, but overall was going for a more complete and easier to use version over the last version.
The main purpose of AXION is to start a resurgence in the aq2 community. So I need more mirrors, and if you have a blog or game site put up an article or something.
