NARF - Homemap

Plaza has been (or was?) NARF's homemap for very long, and there were some times where we really were good at it. But with the new crew it became harder and we got overran quite often at it. We tried different maps which didn't really work as expected (murder, country2, highrise..) and our last homemap was wfall.

Wfall is a good map, funny and it gives a chance to our snipers, unlike plaza. But I've felt that is quite monotonous and after 2 times in a day becames boring and if the opponents get bored of getting raped they camp and it makes it even more boring. Besides, I've heard that many clans hate the map in cws, which makes the cw to suck, since the opponent dislikes the map (like when we play airport or citygate).

So we have to think about a new map. Should we try plaza again, losing the skills of our snipers? I don't really know. There are many maps and we have to find one that suits us good. Something like revolution.bsp, having the close quarter possibilities from plaza but also a place for a sniper. It has to be a map which reforces our teamplay and which is also non-lineal (like jungle1, cloud or teamjungle).

Want some fast names?

Something new would be nice, giving the chances to new maps to be played.
I dunno really, we could also play random maps from an internal map pool (with maps WE like). Or... well, you got the idea.

well.. rok is quite good, and that idea of our map-pool, like plaza, wfall rok and something.. sounds good !

uhm ... assasin's are a little big 2 big :s camping would appear like in highrise ...

ff was kewl ...

rok is cool too , but I think little bit everydayish ...

if we wanna win CW's we should pick something that no1 playz , small ( fast ) i guess ...

i liked wfall very much but i have to agree with matias when he says that when ppl start camping it gets a little boring.
so, what to do?
i have to say that rok is a nice "teamplay" map in my opinion because it lets you to choose from different kind of tactict for most of spawns... and even i like it.

unfortunatly nowadays im getting (omg) 140 ping on ALL servers, exepted of NARF (110) and pickup (80), so i cannot be helpful for our cws :(

if this fucking situation will continue even next week i will call my isp and flame them hard. VERY hard. i will even menace them of removeing my adsl.... we will see.

choose our homemap even for me, i will agree with your decision :)
dont care what map we play, but playing it togheter ;)

we had got a pretty good plaza team for some time
but yes, there is not much sniper activity in this map

therefore my suggestions for a new homemap at the moment are:
ff (play for sniper too)
wargroun (i like this map:))
facility2 (played it with cheef and seburu -> pwns:))
bwcity (brand new)

maybe we should check whole quadaver map page

rok is that kind of map, u dont exatly need pr0-mUst-w1n tacts, u confront the enemy in 15 secs by force =)) i dont know what im talking but still talking .. :<

hehe, i dont think so.... go and ask to play rok against arild and his mighty boys, you will see that even there tactics are useful :D

today we will bake a clanwar map:

at first, what does a good cw map need?

in the nowaday situtation where clanwars counts on rounds and not on mappercentage win, we need

+ small map
+ fast map
+ less camp points
+ if there are camp points they have to be easy to rush
+ all weapons useage (m3,m4,mp5,sniper)
+ new one

from the talk before there are following maps dismissed because of they doesn't have all the called points.

rok (to large, old...)
urban (large, old, camppoints...)
urban3 (-''-)
wargroun (camp)

so there is my suggestion:

we played facility2 often with .at but never in clanwars.
facility2 - add the map to tryout

beach could be nice too with the right tactics. but already a step to the camp maps.

dusty i tried it now the first time and i was surprised. small and easy and some touch of western. interessting too.

My go would be for facility2, why?
Maybe because those other 2 maps aren't that good us. Beach will be too messy, it will need too much time to dominate it and we, the ones giving the directions, will be very frustrated very fast. And Rusty, is a good map, yeh, but still, it doesn't give any chance to tactics in a 4on4, is way too small! Taking a sniper won't be any use, since the opponents will be around everyone before action and running away will just keep it 1vsX.

I would give facility2 a try, it looks nice, it's new and it can be "tacticized" easily. We just gotta do it.

My thought exactly.

Small and fast like plaza, but with SSG utility -> Country

Even tho i dont have seen new maps for a while. :D
