AQ2 Daddies Cup! Rules

Sign Up

1. First of all, before you sign up: READ THE RULES!

2. If you still want to sign up, you must post in the ‘signup’ section of this forum.

3. The content of the post should look like this:

Remember: Only the players listed in this post will be allowed to play in the league. Another important aspect is the contact person. Besides his nickname, also his email, and, if available, the IRC channel (quakenet) where he can be found, have to be named.

4. You, your clan and all the members listed in your post have to be registered at aq2world.com. Don’t forget to also join your clan at the aq2world.com website. All players listed in your post must be a member of your clan on aq2world. Players/Clans that are not registered when we check it, won’t be allowed to play (this is important to guarantee a functional website!).

5. Only trustable clans will be able to join this tournament. You have to present a decent website and some clanwar results. Clans that seem to break up within a week again won’t be taken in. A minimum of five players is required.

6. The nationality of your clan doesn’t affect your chances to be taken into this league, but remember that only european servers are allowed.

7. You will receive an E-Mail to the address you have provided confirming whether your clan will be included in the cup. This may or may not be the final decision.



The Cup

1. It will be double elimination (you must lose 2 clan wars to be knocked out of the cup, meaning there will be a loser bracket)

2. It will all be conducted through this forum, results, standings etc.

3. The matches will be played one each on any of the servers listed below. If a clan agrees to play 2x the same server this is fine also.


Allowed servers are:

· Clanunited servers (fi)
· Soze’s CW Servers (swe)
· Gelrevision server (nl)
· Last Resort (de)
· LAN-ARENA (pt)
· tamahome.b2.fi (fi)
· GOLAR.net (slo)
· NARF server (at)
· FwD server (fi)
· AQ2 net (fi)
· z0r.nl (nl)




The match settings must be set as follows:

· Timelimit 20
· Roundlimit 0
· Dmflags 768 or 256
· Limchase 2
· Roundtimelimit 3
· Matchmode has to be activated.




4. A total of six players per clan is allowed on the server, while the match is played four against four (and only four against four!). Switches between subs and players during the match are allowed. Players have to stay in their particular team during the match to avoid mm3-abuse.

5. The CTF skins must be used. A clan can choose any of the 4, red, blue, yellow or green, with the away clan picking their skin first out of the 4 and the home clan picking out of the remaining 3.

6. A match has to be won by rounds. The clan that has the most rounds won in the end is the winner of the match. If both clans have the same score, the match is a tie.

7. In the event of a tie one of the following maps will be played. To select which map will be played just copy and paste this line into our cup channel (#aq2dc).

The map will be chosen at random for you.


The match will be played 1 each again but 10 mins on each server. In the extremely unlikely event of there still being a tie there will be 1 round sudden death.

8. After the match the clan leaders, and the clan leaders ONLY will post the results in the thread named ‘results’ (DUH) and they should be structured as follows

HINT: if you have no space for the screenshots, use free hosting websites like http://www.imageshack.us/

If any of the information that the 2 captains post differs (scores etc, not including players used obviously) there will be an enquiry.



The Admins

1. The head admin of the cup is fuct.

2. Other, lesser admins (hehe) include NARF|Matic and Caracol.

3. Admins won’t spec your games. This takes too much time and is in fact pointless.

4. The Admin’s tasks are:

· He will help you out if there is any problem.
· Trying to support the teams to guarantee a smooth order of events.
· Updating the page as often as possible to offer a nice overview.

5. The best way to contact the admins is Quakenet. (Server: irc.quakenet.eu.org, #aq2dc).

6. Don’t fuck with the admins. Their/my decision is final and NOT subject to appeal. Just be nice and play fair and you wont have any problems.


Cheating

1. Cheating is not allowed. Everyone caught cheating will be banned from the league and all servers watched by the United AQ2 Admins. Players already existing on the banlist of the United AQ2 Admins aren’t allowed to be a part of this league. Since there are very few “willing to help” people if ANY one player in a clan is caught cheating the clan will be banned from the cup. So clan leaders make sure that your players are not cheating.

2. Since there's no efficient anti-cheat program available, we won't require any. NoCheat, for example, got hacked months ago.

3. Unallowed modifications are:

· Modified textures (wallhacks)
· All kinds of aimbots
· Modified Models (playermodels, weaponmodels)
· Any kind of modification that gives you an unfair advantage compared with someone using a non-modified ActionQuake2.



4. There won’t be any admins spectating your games. Therefore every player must record a demo and have it available. If the enemy team requests the sending of your demo, you have to do so. If you can’t/won't you will most certainly get yourself banned.

5. If you think you've found a cheater and can prove it, you have to contact your division-admin. After that the admin team will deal with the issue.

6. BE FAIR. THIS GAME IS MEANT TO BE FUN!
