prob the first thing u tried to get away the lagg was upgrade drivers and turn off vertical sync. O_o
but many ppl still have problems, so i suggest u use this.

//fps change script
//***********

alias fpschange "set cl_maxfps 30;cl_maxpackets 30;echo maxfps 30;bind capslock fpschange2"
alias fpschange2 "set cl_maxfps 60;cl_maxpackets 60;echo maxfps 60;bind capslock fpschange3"
alias fpschange3 "set cl_maxfps 105;cl_maxpackets 105;echo maxfps 105;bind capslock fpschange"
bind capslock fpschange

with this u use the same amount maxpackets as maxfps and that helps many.

and remember to REALLY de-activate Vsync type in gl_swapinterval 0 :P

thats all folks :D

It does give tearing, since the lines aren't in sync or something. But it also allows people with TFT monitors to play above 60fps.

I rather have a smooth screen then tearing to have just a few more fps to do some fancy jumping that is useless most of the time.

I have vsync off because I can't be arsed quitting and changing it everytime teamjungle comes on. This is the only map I really need higher FPS on, and I am too quickly to care about tearing on my screen.

On a sidenote, gl_motionblur 1 rocks!

Well if vsync is on you are not limited to 60fps.. just check the manual of ur monitor. See what max hz is on x*x res and then use coolbits to force that max hz on that res.

v_sync: on
cl_maxfps: 85
vid_displayfrequency: 85

Perfect.
