brightness?

man city is so dark I can't sort it out. My in-game brightness is all up, and so is my monitor. Can you help? Thanks

gl_modulate?

You change your gl_modulate. But most servers won't allow you to have a higher gl_modulate than 3.

You can also try to change your intensity. It's normally set to 2, but you can tryout and find out what suits you best.

still dark, any other ideas? also I feel like a jackass, but when I hit tab, it just goes the team board saying who is on which team, and then if i hit it again, it shows all the players and their pings etc. I don't get the option of selecting my weapon/item. I forgot a lot in the last seven years...

intensity 3
vid_gamma 0.3 (can be put lower, but i doubt it will look decent)
gl_modulate 3

but i myself prefer something in-between these settings:
intensity 1-2
vid_gamma 0.5-0.6
gl_modulate 2-3

...it's a matter of personal preference and graphics card/monitor.

...the section named "menu options" will hopefully solve the weapon problem. but just go through all steps and do it properly and there will be no more questionmarks.
