A timer!

Hi!

How about a timer in aq? It would make the game alot more tactical if everybody knew where to move. Cuz alot of ppl just go forward when they hear Lights! Ofc its only for cw servers..

My idea would be: 1 2 3 Action! And when it says action u are able to move.

if i understood the idea correctly, you want to remove the possibility of moving before action? so that you stand still for the first 3 secs, to be able to determine where to go?

if so, im quite torn.. on one hand it would be somewhat nice i suppose.. as i consider it to be quite boring when you reach the enemy before action..

but the thing about being able to jump off buildings and whatnot during the first secs is one of the key factors that make aq... aq :) as you then can ignore all realism and just spread out as fast as possible.

i wouldnt mind trying the freeze-thingie, as i think it would be really nice in cws.. would probably change the balance of certain maps though.. for example spawning in the sucky spawn at c2 will be.. really sucky.. if you arent able to move out of there before action.. so spawns might come to play a bigger role in cws, which is bad:P.

what i would like to see in aq is spawns that can be "controlled".. ie you can set a flag determining how many times a team will get a certain spawn. and the game wont be over until all spawns are played. for example at c2, both teams has to spawn in sucky twice.. but also all teams has to spawn up twice.. etc.. then all games would be played with roundlimit, eliminating whine regarding crappy spawns, and whine about fast maps vs slow maps and dmflagwhine:P
