llsound 1 and lag

Hey guys, right as Franki has bought up in a different thread he's reported that llsound 1 cause him lag, a couple of other players have said this to. Now franki did approach me to change the llsound setting on jolt because of this lag which I thought fair enough if it causes lag ok. So I went of and talked to some of the developers of TNG.
So there you have it llsound will NEVER cause any lag, so is it a case people say oh yes it causes me lag because one person said it so everyone with lag follows suit figuring that to is there explanation for lag when its infact its there connection etc ... so has it just kinda spread as a rumour ie something for people to blame there lag on or is there some merit in this statement ?
Seeing as its so few people have reported this you'd think that everyone would be effected eg there 50 ping feeling like and 100 ping and so on why are only some people effected ?
So to clear this up once and for all is there anyway to devise a test to see if there is some truth in the matter ??
If we can prove it either way that it does or does not cause lag then I can change the jolt server setting accordingly and log a bug report with the TNG developers, and everyone will know either way.
(18:36:50) (Gazz-) JBravo when u get this message have you heard of the following. A euro player says that with llsound set to 1 a 40 ping feels like an 80 ping and with it set to 0 it seems fine. Any thoughts how I could test this ??
(18:37:28) (@sLiCeR[dW]) llsound..
(18:37:37) (@JBravo) lowlag
(18:37:39) (@sLiCeR[dW]) that's the lowlag..
(18:37:44) (@sLiCeR[dW]) no.. you're wrong..
(18:37:48) (@JBravo) He's smoking something I think
(18:37:54) (@sLiCeR[dW]) right :P
(18:38:17) (@sLiCeR[dW]) llsound will NEVER causa any sort of lag.. of any kind
(18:38:26) (@JBravo) All llsound does is to send one message for each sound instead of two
(18:38:33) (@sLiCeR[dW]) and only very low connections will benefit from it
(18:38:47) (@JBravo) cutting down the client <-> server communications
(18:42:59) (Gazz-) yeah thought as much, thanks guys.
