I was going to post a reply on that client settings thread, but MysteryMan closed it with the words "everyone has said their thing".
Heres my little comedy about gl_picmip.
Where does the ramp start?
There we go.
Looks like the upper roof of cloud has melted into the middle roof.
Nothing special here.
Oh, picmip 0 reveals an enemy.
Try taking cover behind the ramp here. Its hard.
Where has the ramps on the ground gone?
*Sigh..* Same as above.
How far is it to the edge? Will I make it in one strafejump?
Crap, didnt it use to be THREE boxes on the middle roof? Also notice how the kevlar shines.
Look at the beautifull black line across the windows.
Also, dont forget the enemy up there.
Can you see the stealth slippers? :)

I'm just trying to say that gl_picmip high or low is both bad and good.
Also, I vote for making it illegal to use gl_picmip above 0 in EAQL. Heck, if I dont use it nobody should be allowed to use it! Right? ......
