DrIQ was bitching at me about why we're still using ts etc since Vent is much better. Sound is better, clearer and better settings, no echo caused by ping (or however it is),...

I've used it now for a couple of times in cws and it seems better. DrIQ got us a server, we already got a chan there. It's the same as on ts server, same pw too.

I've had it installed for a long time already, from those times when I played with balle and VfN, it's indeed better, but I think that to the only thing I said someone told me it's no use. Anyway, I'll glad change, but to install an older version is kinda weird, why can't DrIQ put up an up-to-date server?
Anyway, as soon as you get the other client up, I'll set it up.

PS: I just checked the website and there is a 2.3.1 server, can't DrIQ use that one?

The newer server isn't free for more slots. I think you're limited to 8 people on the server unless you buy a licence (which they only sell in slots of 1000 or so). People get around that by using the older server/client combo. But it's shit since it doesn't map a thumb button properly.

I don't have the old client. I use the new client because my pro clan sponsors us a server of the new version.

Ventrilo definitely got better sound quality. Don't know why you had some noise reini, but for me the sound is clearer and more 'real'. You can also set outbound and inbound seperately, while ts got it all together? And there's no echo either..

some info: we changed server. so don't wounder if you can't connect.
