gl_picmip at catch with AC (AntiCheat)

Anyone else than me that have been using gl_picmip [your_value] for years and wants to play with it when using AC?
FYI: gl_picmip is locked at the value of '0' when using AC at catchgamer, which means, it can't be used.
gl_picmip makes textures more smooth (looks better imo), you'll also gain more FPS in the game, which is really good if you're low at FPS. Also quite great to play with gl_picmip with low-performance computers, goes more clean and smooth
Let's hear you guys about this.
P.S This is no kind of cheat, never it will be. This command has always been used. It was quite used even in Quake1 while that still was popular.

Well maybe at start it wasnt, but these days it is. Every q3-based game has this command and its limited by the admins, punkbuster. Hm, i wonder why?

Keep it limited. It is kind of a cheat, maybe some of you will remember the 'discussion' where some quad players (iba?) used it for Lego Action Quake 2. I think majority was against it, of course quad fans and its members supported it!
skmz, M4 script once wasn't a cheat as well, until they banned/limited some of the commands. Or how about gl_modulate? Try to keep it clean.. this time eh!

I don't see why you don't want to play with picmip 0?
If it's because it makes the game run smoother you should think about getting a new computer. The game was released last decade.

My notebook can handle Quake4, Doom3 with medium settings with no problem, so the computer is fine.
I think it's hard for you to understand, it's something you get used to. I've used picmip since the release of Quake1. I've tried with no picmip alot of times, but it is not the same. Aim sucks completely, cannot gain any control, feels like I have to start over again.
I've got some really strange FPS drop with AC as well, it goes unplayable. I've heard other people got it too, but what is it's cause and is there any solution? Must check that up.
Btw. I noticed that you can have picmip now, it's limit is at 2, I had 2.6 but 2 is fine for me. Thanks for that. I can aim.. ;D

FPS drops when AC on. Im also against AC, but dont
blame me for it. I didn't add to the server.
Cant understand people can play with low FPS.

Don't cheat and you won't have fps drops, that's a lesson from ac

limit it at 5, so u still got the skins. textures are just shit in aq2.
