WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL AQ2 WORLD CUP 2008
(hopefully it won't get delayed to 2009).

- CAPTAINS PICK THEIR COUNTRY'S TEAM, CONSISTING OF MIN. 4 AND MAX. 10 PLAYERS.
- MATCHES ARE 4ON4.
- RULES, SEEDINGS + EXTRAS WILL COME AS SOON AS TEAMS ARE SIGNED UP.
- SIGNING UP CAN BE DONE WHEN THE CAPTAIN IS SELECTED.
- CAPTAIN SIGNS COUNTRY UP BY TELLING ME.
- TEAMS CAN BE FILLED IN LATER.

Still not transparent is this: some Eastern-Europe countries are forming a team (Russia, Poland, etc) who call themselves "slavic countries". I allow a combination-team of them in the cup because they have a few players from those eastern countries. Would be cool if they participate.
I've given up on countries out of Europe.

whatif the captain for a country is in a clan with alot of guys from the same country, if he fills his whole team with his own clanmates it would be pretty dull

I guess there should be a limit of 2 or 3 players from the same clan. That's how it is (was?) in other games' nations cups. Or maybe more could be allowed, but not more than two could play at the same time, nomesayin?

Should the chilean community bother? I mean, how will it work with the servers and all that matter?
I know it's rather boring to play 1 each with 200-300 ping on each side, but you mentioned it in another thread, so I ask.
I hope it works good with you though, it's always interesting to see such a cup.

@Caracol: Well I think it would be neat if Chile would participate. I'm counting on the ability of understanding human kind has been given. That means work out a server which is most fair = where pings are most equal.
If this is too fucked up, 1 each must be done.. can't find another solution. Or others might have one? Feel free to discuss.

great idea to bring this up again. would be awsome. allthough THIS thread doesn't catch my interrest that much. I'd rather see a somewhat page where you can read actuall status among the teams and maybe use the forum to put together teams instead etc etc. My thoughts; put together something more serious written with defined rules as any other tournament. Other than that, many thanks to grover for taking the first step. Looking forward to the captainvotings!

you're somewhat right about a page, it would be neater and we would have way more overview. Unfortunately I don't have the skills to make one. So a webpage-man is needed!
And I didn't want to wait with coming out with this until there was a page, it could've taken years. :p
but thanks for the credits. I hope this will work out well. And yes there will come rules about players from same clan.
