On the search for LAMEARSES!!

Helo ppl!

As you might know me by this stage, I am on the search for xiiters n n00bs!

Here is an example:

Clan: meengreen

Crime: Lying 'n being n00bs.

Info: First we had a clean fight at airport where they got a +7 lead. But when we got 2 fast rounds on rhcity1, they started to camp.

(Like, ANQ-oldtime camping, if you know what I mean.) 8)

And as I at this stage start to wonder when the roundtimelimit is gonna set in, they say that they hadn't set any, cause we hadn't asked for it. :#:

I start to get mad, and ask if they have rcon to set it. They say they have no rcon. Which is strange because they switched map using it. :#: :#:

Question: Is "roundtimelimit 3" standard?

...because I sure thought so...

Yep, I think it should be set on 3 on every server... On most servers it is, but these enemies u played against were just lamers who couldn't resist to lose

NAQL uses rtl 2.5

yeh 3 is standart, but i think 2,5 is even better.

if you wanna see some nice match without roundtimelimit, watch OCRANA vs PVC, the igl finals of 1999. additionally to the missing roundtimelimit, there was also no timelimit for the whole map. actcity2 was like 60 minutes or even more ^^ cause ocrana didnt even try to move their asses.

I don't think it's a standard, maybe the most used but you can't just make it a standard. for example is friendly fire's standard on or off? if you don't alter basic dmflags friendly fire is on. and what about grenades, some people don't want them, some people want two and can a clan ask that tgren will be set to five in their map?

eh yeh.. sure kaos :) rtl is something diff than grens or ff. Its not like ppl are gonna ask: i want rtl 5 or something

yeah, I know it wasn't relevant to this question (though I answered to that too) but I want to know your opinions.

Its mostly rtl 3, or else 2.5.

#eaql is using rtl 3, and #naql, like arild said, 2.5.

i hardly see a server where is no rtl.

I don't understand this "NAQL that and EAQL this"-talking. To me naql and eaql are tournaments among others. In my opinion these don't determine the normal cw rules. But correct me if I am wrong...

I decided to open my mouth because of the abuse against us by the rules of naql and eaql in normal cw.

Even though in this rule I think the rtl 3 should be a standard.

On most public server rtl is 3 either, and on the boomtown cw server too, if im correct. Maybe thats more an answer to your question ;)

Agreed Guen, just since the tourneys use those rules it doesn't mean that eveyone else should use them too.

On the subject: rtl 3 sounds rather ok.

on kaaos' offtopic part: the homemapper can decide for 0-1 grenades, and friendly fire on/off, at least in my opinion.

Has anyone said that you're supposed to use EAQL or NAQL rules in regular clanwars?

I dunno what the exact time is :/

I always thought it was 2 minutes

NAQL rules are just fine, so atleast I use (some of) them (I think) when I claim server. Havent played for a while so Im not sure anymore, but Im back. ;)

About rtl I think anything from 2-3 would be fine, though 3 is quite long time to wait in some situations.

and correct me if I am wrong, but are there any rules in normal cw's?

Just put gravity 100 and when game begins, and enemy complains, start flooding that they are forfeiting!

and I like the idea of 0/2 grenades. :)

btw: you can stop your search, we are coming at you!

Well Roundtimelimit isn't that old. In the good old days we didnt use it. I can remember some quite boring matches in the bwaqsl.
