Get better resolution.
Along the lines of 800x600 - 1024x768 is comforting size imo. Looks better too.
If by any reason your computer can't get that resolution I feel sorry for you.

well if you try with gl_mode 3, the icons is not that big, and i like the icons big, its gl_scale 2 that make them bigger, but the only thing ruining it is the font.
always played with that res, no need to change it.

i play all fps inett games 640*400 :I i see the others better and its not to small. and i played cs way back. then it was the "perfect resolution" still is i think. nevermind that but its teh best anyways :I
