Thanks! I re-compiled with SDL off, then used those commands and the audio sounds MUCH better.

Thank you much, NRG.

I don't doubt it. I've found several tutorials in my efforts that explain how to install aq2/q2 on Linux distros, but none of them discuss 64-bit support. :( 64-bit quake2 works like a charm thanks to Maniac. I've been running aprq2 in 64-bit mode for the last year or so. As for tutorials I've writ...

AQ2 On 64-bit Linux

Has anybody here managed to get any of the AQ2 Clients to work on 64-bit Linux? I can't even get the quake 2 clients to work, let a lone get action to load. I've tried every client I could find and compiling each one from source. I've had every error you could think of in the process; from issues wi...

Meh. I guess we need to trust you enough with lrcon then... Good luck with your site. I would like to see you work towards something like this - http://bf2s.com/player/43343182/ Now I know the Quake 2 system isn't as detailed, but what ARE you able to do with it? Are FPM and map changes the only th...

New AQ2 Stats Website

Hey guys, I'm just here to let you in on a new AQ2 Stats website. I've been working on this site with PaTMaN for a couple months. We're now ready to begin some real-world testing. At the moment we've only got a few servers in the list. I'm hoping to expand that so we can find and fix bugs in the sys...

Thanks Uncle-, that TNG source was exactly what I needed. Everything is working perfectly.

Thanks to everyone else for replying, as well. :)

Looking for server software / Support

I've been working on setting up multiple aq2 servers on my linux box. I am running Ubuntu 6.10. So here's my story: It took me a while, but I finally got quake2 compiled and I compiled action from it's original source (with some help from PaTMaN). However, I've found that running a server from the o...

Setting up a server on FreeBSD

I have a FreeBSD box I would like to setup a aq2 server on, but don't know where to begin. My first attempt failed, in which my friend compiled quake2 and action from the sources, but obviously we ran into lots of problems with this method. Basically I just want a aq2 server with the "sv varian...
