Cup/League with price money?

Hmm, this idea has prolly got up before, but i wonder if people/clans are interested in doin a cup with an entry free (~10?/clan) and then all the money will be givven to the winner.

If, is 10?/Clan to much/to little?

Sounds like a great idea to me...

But I dont know how the AQ2'ers would react to it, I think alot of needless camping would be optional, aswell as alot of flaming.

Also the admins, would have to be picked specially for this assignment.

there is "aq2 finnish open championships" + LAN in salo, finland next june. the winner team gets 400e + new logitech mouses. it's mostly just finnish clans that are coming there but also MI has a team there (though everybody would have been free to participate).

the signup is over anyway, though everybody are still free come to the LAN (i think).

I guess just clans which have some chances to win would signup...

If it was a lan there would be much more teams (like in Finland...). But u already tried about that EU lan.

the 'eulan-project' is kinda stopped cuz we need ppl from denmark to organize it there. cant organize it a lan in denmark from here.

cool idea. however. I dont trust half the scene when it comes to cheating and if there would be prize money I bet that even more would use it.

The LAN in Finland this year together with NAQ-LAN 99 is the best events that has occured in this scene(that I know of).

But as long as it is trusty admins and a well organized tournament i'm on for it.

european aq2 lan would be really nice if i had the money and the time next summer. so if some rich aq2 fella wants to sponsor everyones trip i'm in ^___^

The point here nufan is that everyone can sign up if they feel like it. Nobody is forcing them to do anything. ofc the best clans will prolly be fighting for the victory but you'll never know. Aq2 aint mathmatics.

I think that the only way of arrange such tournament is having a LAN, like we are talking about here. It would be like ten times easier to deliver the money to the winners and even speccing irl so there wont be any jibberish about cheating. Though there must be organizers and all that. I dont know but if this would ever happen, I'll sure help!
