now that I've discovered AQ2World and the forums from aq2world.COM since nobody informed me before about the address change (thanks den), I can give my contribution to this thread:

well my ping is 20-30 on eDome/Playtrix/Duraworks and ~70 in BT, better on TNX though. it used to be better, dunno what's wrong with my isp's connections abroad :/

And my experiences from playing against foreign clans is that our map gets camped and their map is usually c2 which I don't like that much. (flame me, boys)

And for your knowledge, I don't usually play against finnish c2 clans if I don't have to.

Uh right, there are so many different countries, so many people and so many different connections, so it's very hard to say a whole country got a good connection on <insert random server name>.

Well.

First, im from finland.

Usually i try to avoid foreign clans with cw's, not because BT or other non finnish servers. (yeah they lag a bit but who rly cares?).
The main reasons with me and my clan (with rl friends) is that foreign clans usually:
- Play a stupid, fast, fragging map (yah i know it is ACTION quake2 but the fun is the most important thing in cw's)
- They usually speak their own language in mm1 (annoying)
- And the camping begins at our (of course the second) map [no flame]
- Some foreign clans have an unknown map ("win with the homemap")
- Last but not the least: STUPID LIMCHASECAM. I don't rly know if u think that all the finnish ppl are mm3/lan/cheaters but its lame and annoying. Takes a nice slice from the fun.

ps. I've had fun with one foreign clan and it was UR. Thanks for u guys for a good game (even with c2!)

So, foreign clans, if u rly want to play against stoopid finnish ppl (why?) .. Play a good map, speak english and don't whine. I'm sure some clans will play against u. (AND OFCOURSE the finnish server ;P )

I would so much like to crush your arguments but I think silence will do good enough, since it's pure nonsense.

Well I think us (Apprime) have played against foreign clans pretty much and even one map each, though we have only finnish players. Maybe not all the time but fairly enough I think.

Mostly known clans, like [M.I], [j]', -UR-, Quadaver etc, since atleast I've found out that foreign clans also have these pain_in_the_ass types you just don't want to play with. And when a never heard foreign clan comes asking for cw, flooding on your channel...I'm not that interested.

Most known foreign clans are nice to play with, though I usually skip the foreign server map since my connection is s000 lejm.

So please stop flameing whole finnish scene, Love us, flame others!!!

Something totally different to why .fi only want to play .fi

I have noticed when asking for a cw in some channels the first response is quite a few times in finnish, when I tell them I'm not finnish they respond with quite poor English. I'm Dutch and here in The Netherlands we get taught English really early, it seems to me finnish people don't get educated a lot in the English language. Maybe this is why .fi wants to play vs .fi only because they understand eachother better.

This may be a longshot, but hey I've seen weirder things.
