Time for another tournament! Was that a 'notagain' I just heard you say? Well, let me tell you my friend, this isn't going to be your usual cup of tea. Oh no. This time, we are going back to the day when the M4 was not the only weapon in the game :)

FC is a highlander tournament. The clans are divided into 3-4 groups: the '.fi Groups' and the 'International Groups' (d'oh..). All clans face the other clans in their respective groups once. After the group stage best teams advance to the playoffs.

This is how the maplist works: every team picks a different homemap every time they play. In other words, you are not allowed to play one map as your homemap more than once :) If both clans wish to play the same map, it will be played 2x ;)

Fall Classic isn't supposed to be a very serious tournament. No admins are available for the matches. There's not a really strict set of rules either. My goal is to bring back the fun. You know, it just might be a "gg" even if you lose :) Why only 8 maps then? The answer's simple: KISS. Keep it simple stupid.

Any clan capable of having five players online at the same time is welcome at this point! To sign-up, please reply to this thread or contact me @ IRC.

EDIT: Rules are subject to change at this point. Hard facts will be provided as soon the I'm aware of the total number of clans interested :)

There's a chopper coming in 3 days and there's a katana on top of the cafe and that's all you need to know

Very very very very nice. Highlander matches are the best there is, especially with 6v6 or 7v7.

edit: Too bad that FF is off. 7v7 highlanders with friendly fire.. mmmm.

If I've understood correctly, '1 each' is quite common outside of Finland ;) The pesky finns will be playing 2x edome anyways I beliece :)

so true, since we dont use any good ladder system actively we need tournaments. :)

aq2world should make "cup-winners" section, and put everykind of cups top3 or 5 there, like:
NAQL - Short Edition 2004:
1. clutch (aka paid me)
2. clan survival
3. jÄgarna
Fall Classic '04
1. the clan
2. the n0bb0s
3. the ultimate0wnroz

and so on. atleast I wouldve like it :P

Give FF an option, there are some clans that have used it for 6 years, you should respect that a bit :R

classic maps as in c2 and plaza? how about museum and monastery, or something alike.

so the pool is mostly m4/ssg maps played on HL, imo you could choose some better maps for HL, zakath mentioned some. i'd rather play HL against RK in ferron with ff on, than HL in c2 vs anyone. it's no HL suiting map, it's a pure m4rush and ssg camping in those boxes :<

don't ruin HL with those normal fraghunt maps :<

Yes, there is atleast one. On the other hand, there is the 90%+ of the community not playing with FF. Some thought was given to this issue earlier - unfortunately for [RK] this is how the pendulum swings this time around :/

When I figure out a way to please everyone you'll be the first to know. Please give me 6-9 maps that are not normally played with "m4/ssg" :) Even if you could find some, I'll bet they wouldn't be quite as 'classic' as the ones currently in the pool. How do you 'pure M4rush' with only one m4?
