there is a way to increase the number of fps??
i've got
1gb ddr of ram
geforce fx 5900xt
atlhon 1800xp (1500mhz)
WinXp Sp2 Pro
i can't believe that this configuration can do only 60 fps on q2..

1. Turn the vertical sync off from your display settings.. not sure where it is exactly with geforce but somewhere in the advanced settings.
2. Download Refreshlock or some other program that can lock your monitors refresh rate. This wont affect your fps but still makes the game a lot smoother to play.
3. Change the value of cl_maxfps. Something between 80 and 120 is most common I think. Just try it yourself.

Yep, this is most definitely a problem caused by vertical sync. Shut it off and you'll be up above the 500s.

Depends on which drivers u have, try doing like this; first right click on desktop/properties/settings/advanced/<something GF, probably>
Maybe u can find ur card's settings in a tray - bottom-right corner

Is the fps locked at exactly 60.00000 (or something like 59.8666666) or does it vary around 55-65?
