Australian AQ2 Under Attack
Late last month we had ddos attacks made against 3 of our servers and our community web page. As a result the host of two of those servers pulled the support of those servers and the 3rd has yet to come back up. After negotiating for the last 2 weeks I was able to secure 2 new servers and just now they've both been attacked and gone down. This is traditionally a time of year where lots of wars take place and the community regrows to its height. *sigh* As far as I can tell these attacks are unprovoked and it's not as though I can appeal to this anonymous attacker who is bent on destroying the game in our country. So I'm asking anyone here who knows how we can prevent these attacks to contact me immediately on either icq (40986747) or msn (louisdmeyer@hotmail.com) ..

There's a chopper coming in 3 days and there's a katana on top of the cafe and that's all you need to know

The sad part is that there isn't pretty much anything you can do. If the attacks are coming from only one or few certain addresses you can ask your ISP to block those addresses, in case they are coming from n+1 computers around the world there's nothing you can do.
In case they are coming from only one or few certain addresses get the address and report it to authorities, they actually can do something about it if it's coming from somewhere Australia (tough luck if it traces to Poland or Brasil).
