Hey!
I'd just like to warm you about the microsoft intellimouse explorer 4.0 (and the 3.0 too actually). Just don't buy them! (and here's why):
I had used the 3.0 for maybe half a year before it started messing up. The scrollwheel became more and more stuck for some reason, and i had to click the left mousebutton repeatedly many times before it responded. It also doubleclicked when i singleclicked, irritating!
So i decided to buy a new mouse. This was just as the 4.0 was introduced. I bought it, believing that microsoft had learned by it's mistakes with the 3.0. It felt and worked very nice in the start. The scrollwheel was really nice with it's smooth scrolling. But then, after maybe 8-10 months(?) the exact same stuff started happening with it. I have to click repeatedly and hard to make it respond, and it doubleclicks 50% of the times i singleclick. The wheel is still good though. I've been doing some research, and it turns out this is the case with almost everyone who has bought this mouse. How can Microsoft get away with this? There must be someone here who's got the same problem?
Logitech next.

i'm pretty sure it ain't an ad-ware problem, my pc is clean. many many people have the exact same problem as me, are you saying they all got ad-ware that messed up their mouse half a year after they bought it? i think not.aztecx wrote:nah the double click bullshit isnt the mouse, its ad-ware.
I have had a microsoft optical for so long and its the best mouse. Never any screw ups except for when i used to single click and it doubled. I later found out it was ad-ware.
do you have the intellimouse 4.0? did you have the same problem as me? and what do you mean with "put a little ducktape inside the mouse", explain.Dragoneye wrote:blissard that your little problem is easily fixed, just a little ducktape inside the mouse and it works perfectly.

Have the same problems coming up as Blissard... and after all you got to agree that the quality of the MS IntelliExplorer 3.0 is utter crap compared to some robust Logitech mouse.
So... yet my Intelli 3.0 works fine ... wheel already dead, mouse1 doubleclicking sometimes... so in some time I gotta buy a new Logitech one.
